What do you do after you’ve been voted Best Pop Group in Atlanta’s Creative Loafing readers poll? Pzzyfoot, the band who won that award last summer, decided to shake all that off and step on the gas. They began writing songs with more of a Hard Rock/Funk/Blues vibe and audiences began to respond, once they picked their jaws off the floor. From Atlanta to Gainesville to Macon and cities in between, Pzzyfoot started developing a following along with an intense, and often sensual, onstage presence. June 23rd brings them to The Avondale Towne Cinema for their first show at this historic venue. But this isn’t just a concert, it will also be the release party for their new album “Religion”. Opening for Pzzyfoot are two other bands who are also “Punk Black” alumni, BAST and Conkrete God. All three of these bands are lead by strong, confident women who know how to rock and aren’t afraid to leave an audience worn out, sweaty, and yelling for more. So join us Friday, June 23rd at 8 PM for the Pzzyfoot album release party and a night of heavy music, the way the Ladies like to do it!
